The Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Department of Biochemistry of Wake Forest School of Medicine seek applications from established cancer investigators with a history of funding, preferably from the NCI. Investigators that complement existing areas of strength in the Cancer Center will be considered. These areas include, but are not limited to, structural biology, redox biology, cancer cell metabolism, cancer genomics, cancer cell signaling, experimental therapeutics, and stem cell biology. The Cancer Center has strengths in prostate, breast and brain cancer, but investigators in other types of cancers will also be considered. The NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center of Wake Forest University under new leadership has a well developed strategic plan and a system of shared resources to support the research of the Center. Other areas of strength at Wake Forest School of Medicine that contribute to the research environment include the Center for Biomolecular Imaging, the Center for Genomics and Personalized Medicine Research, the Center for Diabetes Research, the Sticht Center on Aging, the Wake Forest Primate Center, and the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine.
