Wake Forest School of Medicine / Brenner Children's Hospital is seeking a faculty member for our Pediatric Hospitalist section.
Clinical duties include coverage of our general inpatient pediatric teaching services, as well as consultation and co-management of medically complex patients on other services. There are no newborn nursery or delivery responsibilities. The faculty member is expected to have an interest in academic medicine and education. Current section members are heavily involved in resident education, quality improvement, patient safety, global health, clinical/pre-clinical medical student teaching, and clinical research.
Brenner Children's Hospital is ranked among the best in the country by U.S. News & World Report and forms the focal point for pediatric healthcare in Wake Forest Baptist Health's major academic health system. Brenner Children's Hospital includes 172 inpatient beds, 12 PICU beds, and 35 NICU beds, and is the referral center for Western North Carolina, Southern Virginia, and Eastern Tennessee.
