The Department of Anesthesiology of Wake Forest Baptist Health is seeking a faculty member with interest and board certification in Critical Care. Primary specialty certification may be in Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, or Emergency Medicine. An interest and board certification in Neurocritical Care is desirable.
As Section Head for Adult Critical Care the successful candidate will be instrumental in leading faculty development efforts as well as fostering and overseeing the group's academic and educational pursuits.
Primary responsibilities include patient care in our Cardiothoracic/Cardiovascular and Neurocritical Care ICUs which are semi-closed with mandatory co-management. Involvement in the education of students, residents, and critical care fellows is an important aspect of this position and a career interest in either clinical or basic research is desirable.
The successful applicant will be appointed to the faculty of Wake Forest University School of Medicine at a level commensurate with experience and academic achievement. An attractive salary, benefits, relocation allowance, and non-clinical time for academic development are offered. Board certification and eligibility for NC licensure is required.
