1. Gather, compile, and prepare information for financial reports, analyses, and graphs for use by senior level Medical School administration.
2. Participate in business/financial/operational plan development and analysis. Participate in meetings providing input as appropriate.
3. Plan, develop and coordinate the preparation of complex financial analyses and reports which may include financial statements, cost analyses, revenue and expense trends, and statistical reports.
4. Coordinate and participate in the preparation of various financial reports and analyses for senior management and external agencies.
5. Assist senior staff with projects and presentations of complex financial information.
6. Maintain effective liaison with internal departments, WFUHS/Medical Center/NCBH administration, external auditors, etc. for the purpose of identifying, assembling and analyzing financial information.
7. Develop, implement, and manage new and revised financial management systems, cost accounting systems, and financial policies and procedures.
8. Assist with budget process, year end close process, and/or variance remediation as requested.
9. Ensure compliance with regulations and reporting requirements.
10. May perform lead role in coordinating complex projects by overseeing the work of others.
11. Understand industry trends, network with colleagues at other institutions, and evaluate the impact of operating initiatives on the financial status of the Medical School.
12. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

FUNCTION OF JOB

Under administrative review, perform complex duties involved with compiling, developing, analyzing, and reporting financial information to Medical School administration.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND GIVEN

Oral and/or written instructions are received from supervision. Provide direction and guidance to support personnel.

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS

1. Master's degree in Business Administration with emphasis on finance or Health Administration with solid analytical background including good understanding of cost accounting principles.
2. Two years of financial analysis experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Strong interpersonal skills as well as ability to work as part of a team in complex, fast-paced environment.
5. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

1. Health care financial experience particularly strategic financial planning or cost accounting.
