This position is responsible for the preparation, presentation, sanitation and safety for food used in the Cafe, Catering and Cancer Center Cafe. HACCP standards are utilized and strictly enforced. Use of large cooking equipment and production experience preferred. This position supports the cook?s staff primarily by batch cooking the lunch meal and early evening meal, prepping as necessary, sanitation of the kitchen and equipment and supporting the food service operation as deemed necessary by management. This position works under a Team Leader and is part of a well organized team.
High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years experience in food service production
Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration:
N/A Skills & Qualifications:
Knowledge of food service equipment
Must be able to communicate professionally.
Must be able to follow recipes and adjust according to volume.
Ability to adjust to needs of department.
Desire to achieve high customer service standards.
Ability to communicate with a wide variety of people including employees, nursing staff, managers, and hospital staff.
