The Manager Revenue Acounting position is responsible for the reporting of clinical net revenue for the Medical Center.

1. Calculates and reports monthly clinical net revenue for the Medical Center.
2. Reviews monthly the methodology for determining contractuals, bad debt and charity care allowances.
3. Coordinates analysis of net revenue including perspective from Revenue Cycle and Planning & Analytics.
4. Performs balance sheet testing monthly to ensure reserves are adequate.
5. Coordinates the year-end audit process related to reserves and allowances.
6. Coordinates the annual budget process for clinical net revenue.
7. Maintains expert knowledge of government provider reimbursement and proposed government legislation regarding reimbursement.
8. Maintains expert knowledge of billing processes, accounts receivables, and managed care contracting.
9. Supervises support positions and provides necessary training to staff.

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience with patient accounting systems (IDX, Healthquest, Epic)
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Strong communication skills including written, oral and listening.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
Attention to detail.
Analytical skills.

Education / Experience: Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration. 3-5 years reimbursement accounting and net revenue reporting experience (including contractuals, bad debt and charity care allowances). Complete understanding of revenue cycle processes is required.
