Job Summary: Assists the Business Office Manager and other Pharmacy personnel with operational projects and performance monitoring. Prepare, analyze and audit pharmacy reports and financial indicators. Work closely with internal and external customers to ensure the correct reporting and representation of the financial information for the entire Pharmacy division. Help maintain, monitor and audit the financial reports as they relate to the 340B program.

Education / Experience: 4 year college degree preferred in related field as well as a minimum of 5 years work experience. BS degree in accounting preferred.

Reports To: Pharmacy Business Office Manager

Essential Functions:

1.

Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.

2.

Monitors and audits revenue reporting within EPIC and ensures that the correct cost center is being utilized.

3.

Analyze, maintain and audit 340B data within EPIC and MacroHelix.

4.

Works with Pharmacy areas to ensure coordination of ordering, receiving, dispensing, administering and charging of pharmaceuticals.

5.

Participates in pharmacy inventory control procedures to contribute to the provision of cost-effective pharmacy services.

6.

Coordinates auditing of pharmacy billing processes to ensure accurate and timely billing and reimbursement for pharmaceuticals.

7.

Participates in planning processes by establishing personal goals to support quality improvement efforts and contribute to the achievement of departmental objectives.

8.

Updates knowledge and skills of self and others to maintain, improve and document competency.

9.

Participates in planning processes by establishing personal goals to support quality improvement efforts and contribute to the achievement of departmental objectives.

Skills and Qualifications:

Proficient at using: calculator, PC, Fax, photocopier, Word, Excel, Access.

Answer phones, balance figures, compose memos.
