Evening Shift - 7 on/7 off , Full-time.
The satellite pharmacist will work closely with other pharmacists, technicians, nurses, physicians, and study personnel to meet the pharmaceutical care needs of the cancer program. The satellite pharmacist will be responsible for chemotherapy verification and product checking, optimizing patients' drug therapies, overall workflow management of the satellite, oversight of technical staff, and serving as a drug information resource for the cancer center. The satellite pharmacist may also be called upon to assist with discharge medication reconciliation and education as needed and will maintain skills and knowledge by attending required educational in-services and skills development classes. This individual may be cross-trained to the outpatient infusion pharmacy areas as needed. This pharmacist will take the annual departmental Pharmaceutical Care Exam. This pharmacist will also participate in quality improvement and strategic planning activities which promote optimal patient care, teamwork, and WFBMC shared key values.
Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy is required. Must demonstrate a commitment to high quality patient care and ongoing learning and skills development including concentrated training on cancer treatment. Should have good interpersonal, decision making, problem solving, supervisory, and customer services skills. This individual must demonstrate a positive attitude, commitment to teamwork, and be flexible to provide services based on the daily needs of the cancer program. Staff Pharmacist
