Pediatric Clinics at the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes and the

type 2 diabetes in children. She is a recipient of several research grants from
the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention, and other organizations. In addition, she has been a presenter at
numerous local and national diabetes conferences. Dr. Klingensmith has received several awards, including the ADA
National Award for Outstanding Contributions to Diabetes in Youth. She received
the ADA Women of Valor Award in 2002 and has been included in The Best Doctors
in America since 1993.
