Dr. Stanford T. Shulman reviews medical content for Healthwise, a

decisions. Dr. Shulman is a Virginia H. Rogers Professor of Pediatrics at
Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. He is also Chief of
the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
A longtime member and past chair of the American Heart Association
Committee on Rheumatic Fever, Kawasaki Disease, and Endocarditis, Dr. Shulman is also
a past-chair of the Section of Infectious Diseases of the American Academy of
Pediatrics. Dr. Shulman has been a visiting professor at many medical schools
across the United States and has been an invited speaker at numerous national
