nutrients from the food, and ridding the body of waste products from the food.
The digestive system consists of the:
- Upper digestive tract, which includes the mouth,
esophagus, and stomach.
- Lower digestive tract, which includes the
small and large intestines.
- Liver, pancreas, and
gallbladder.
