Cardiac Rehabilitation & Heart Attack Recovery

There is no cure for heart disease or lung disease. Cardiac rehabilitation and other treatments can relieve symptoms and help you feel better, but you need to take care of yourself to avoid future problems. This can require big changes in your life such as exercising, eating healthy foods and quitting old habits. The good news is that you don’t have to do it alone.

Our team of cardiac rehabilitation (rehab) experts develops customized programs to help patients recovering from heart and lung problems stay healthy. Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is the first cardiac rehab program in North Carolina and one of the first in the U.S. We also offer one of the most comprehensive pulmonary rehab programs for people with chronic lung disease.
