Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Program

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center’s 27-bed CARF-accredited Comprehensive Rehabilitation Program, located on the third floor of the J. Paul Sticht Center on Aging and Rehabilitation, accepts patients 13 years of age and older who have had a recent significant functional loss related to life altering injury or illness.

Patients admitted to the Unit typically include those recovering from:

  • Stroke
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Congenital deformity
  • Amputation
  • Multiple trauma
  • Burns
  • Major joint replacement
  • Other neurological and orthopaedic conditions
