Cheryl E. H. Locke
Ms. Locke joined the Medical Center in October 2008 as the first Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer to oversee both the Hospital and Wake Forest University Health Sciences Human Resources division.
Prior to joining the Medical Center, Ms. Locke was the Chief Human Resources Officer at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), a 900-bed academic medical center and comprehensive research university, where she had responsibility for all university and hospital HR services and programs. She is recognized for “reinventing” HR at UAB, providing staff and faculty with significantly enhanced customer service and consultation on all human resources issues.
Ms. Locke is a member of the American Management Association National HR Council, TIAA CREF Retiree Health Care Task Force, College and University Professional Association Human Resources and the Society for Human Resources Management.
Ms. Locke serves on the Board for Easter Seals UCP North Carolina and Virginia and the Board for Habitat for Humanity.
