Norman D. Potter

Norman D. Potter, Vice President, Development and Alumni Affairs, Chief Development Officer

Norm Potter joined Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in 2005 after working at BB&T Corporation, where he was senior vice president and group director in the wealth management division.

Currently, Potter oversees the strategic effort to engage donors and raise philanthropic funds to support the clinical, educational and research enterprises of the Medical Center.

He holds an undergraduate degree from Penn State University (PSU) and has held numerous positions with various organizations and non-profits, including chief volunteer officer - YMCA of Northwest North Carolina, PSU Schreyer Honors College Board of Advisors and Goodwill Industries Foundation treasurer.

He is an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and has led the men’s ministry and the college ministry with his wife, Patricia.

Potter previously served on the Calvary Day School Committee and the Property Acquisition Committee.
