Sanjay Saha, MHS

Sanjay Saha joined Wake Forest Baptist Health as Executive Vice President of Operations on October 24, 2011. He is focused on organizational effectiveness and operational excellence, further integrating inpatient/ambulatory operations, physician and administrative services. His charge is to provide rapid, informed decision-making, eliminate unnecessary costs, and ensure patient-centered care and excellent customer service. His clinical goals include growing service line efforts in neurosciences, cancer, heart and vascular services, pediatrics, musculoskeletal and primary care.

Mr. Saha previously worked at University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina, Greenville, NC, where he served as Senior Vice President overseeing Surgical Services, Women’s Services and the Children’s Hospital; and as Vice President & Executive Director for Surgical Services. His professional experience also includes service as an Executive Administrator in the Physician Services Division at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), Vice President of Surgical and Cardiovascular Services at UPMC Passavant Hospital, and Executive Director of the UPMC Cardiovascular Institute.

He enjoys teaching and most recently served as an adjunct faculty member at East Carolina University in the Department of Public Health where he co-instructed a graduate course on health services administration. As an advocate of library services, he has also served on the boards of libraries in Greenville and Pittsburgh.

Mr. Saha earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wake Forest University and a Master of Health Science in Health Finance and Management from Johns Hopkins University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Certified Medical Practice Executive.
