Steven C. Snelgrove, MBA
Steve Snelgrove is President of Wake Forest Baptist Health Lexington Medical Center, a 94-bed acute care hospital in Davidson County which affiliated with the Medical Center in 2008. Mr. Snelgrove reports to Thomas E. Sibert, MD, MBA, President and Chief Operating Officer of Wake Forest Baptist Health.
Mr. Snelgrove joined Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in 1989 as Director of Facilities Planning and Construction and was appointed Vice President—Operations in 1993. He was Vice President—Medicine and Operations when he was named Chief Operating Officer of Lexington Medical Center in November, 2011. He was promoted to President in July, 2012.
Prior to joining Wake Forest Baptist, Mr. Snelgrove was Director of General Services at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA.
Mr. Snelgrove is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has been a member of the Policy Development Committee of the North Carolina Hospital Association. He is past Chairman of the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Planning Board and the Downtown Winston-Salem Partnership. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Forsyth County. He is a member of the Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church.
Mr. Snelgrove received his B.S. Degree from the University of Connecticut and his M.B.A. from the University of Hartford. He and his wife, Joyce, are parents of a son, Scott.
