Archivist Dianne Johnson gave this presentation – African Americans in Medicine – at Melting Pot III in honor of Black History Month. The Wake Forest Medical School’s student group – Cultural Awareness Committee – held its third program on Feb. 6, 2012, complete with food from other cultures. Other speakers whose topic was health disparities were Dr. William Blackstock in Radiation Oncology; Dr. Paul Laurienti in Diagnostic Radiology and Dr. Ronny A. Bell in the Maya Angelou Center for Health Equity.
