Tips for searching and printing from MD Consult textbooks.
MD Consult provides easy access to disease information with over fifty textbooks. To search them, just type your keyword or key words into the search box, and change the default search from All Sections to Books. If you want to find information not only about creatinine, but also how it relates to renal function, you can type "renal function" after creatinine. The use of closed quotes around "renal function" instructs MDconsult to search those two words as one unit in conjunction with searching for the keyword creatinine. Search results are displayed with a link to the pertinent section in the textbook, with the first few sentances from that section with the keywords highlighted. Click on the results title, and you will be taken to the appropriate section within the textbook. If you wish to print a section, just click on the Print Version icon above the text. This will open the section to be printed in a separate window. click Print Page at the top of this window to print the content below.
