Nursing School Reunion
Alumni from The North Carolina Baptist Hospital School of Nursing gathered on Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1 for their reunion. Speakers included Maureen E. Sintich, chief nursing officer for Wake Forest Baptist Health, and Linda A. Ryan, PhD, RN, director of the Human Caring Program at Watson Caring Science Institute. Alumni also enjoyed a fashion show of their old uniforms and reminisced through photographs and other materials in the Dorothy Carpenter Medical Archives. The Nursing school opened in 1923 and closed in 1974. The historical collection is housed in the Archives.
