Carpenter Library has a wide assortment of anatomical charts for loan. Charts are located in the hallway outside of the Orange Study Room. Loan Times: 7 days, renewable for an additional 7 days. Charts are listed below by model picture, description, and call number/subject.

Describes and shows locations of forefoot, midfoot and hindfoot injuries such as: bunions, Morton’s neuroma, bunionette (Tailor’s bunion), hammertoe, Jones’ fracture, Chopart avulsion fracture, Lisfranc dislocation, metatarsal stress fracture, Achilles’ tendon rupture, tarsal tunnel syndrome (which is becoming more common amongst snowboarders), calcaneal fracture and plantar fasciitis with hell spurs. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) [chart] / developed in consultation with David Lipson. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease chart describes the disease which is mainly associated with emphysema and chronic bronchitis. This second edition features a simplified design, enhanced images and updated information.
This chart illustrates cross-sections of normal lung next to a disease lung. Shows detailed images on a healthy bronchial tube and bronchi as compared to a narrowed bronchial tube and excessive mucus retention in chronic bronchitis. Illustrates close up normal and damaged alveoli and a loss of lung tissue. Describes signs and symptoms, diagnosis, risk factors, preventative measures and treatments.

This chart shows glucose molecules from the digestive system and insulin molecules from the pancreas traveling in a blood vessel. Visually compares a normal body cell to a body cell with diabetes, illustrating when the cell develops a resistance to insulin, making it more difficult for glucose to enter the cell, ultimately leading to build up of glucose in the blood vessel.
Textually and visually presents complications from the disease: Heart disease, stroke, vascular disease, nerve damage (neuropathy), kidney disease (nephropathy), periodontal disease (gum disease and mouth infection), and eye disease such as glaucoma, cataracts and diabetic retinopathy.
