Pediatric Advanced Life Support
The Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course is designed for healthcare providers who direct or participate in the resuscitation of pediatric patients in either the pre-hospital or hospital setting. In this course, participants will enhance their skills in the treatment of pediatric emergencies through active participation in a series of simulated cardiac, respiratory, and shock cases designed to reinforce important concepts in pediatric resuscitation.
Prerequisites for all PALS Classes:
1. Participants must have a working knowledge in rhythm interpretation and cardiovascular pharmacology.
2. Participants must have a current AHA BLS Provider card (if class taken outside WFBH fax a copy of the card to 336-716-5927 with note stating which class you registered for).
3. Participants must have a current PALS Provider Manual.
4. It is required that participants complete the pretest at heart.org/eccstudent (code: pals15).
