Maureen E. Sintich, RN, MSN, MBA
Ms. Sintich serves as the chief nursing officer (CNO) for Wake Forest Baptist Health. She joined us in 2000 as the administrator of the women’s health service line. Since 2000, she has held several leadership positions in Nursing Administration, behavioral health and the Oncology Service Line. Most recently, she served as the interim vice president of Brenner Children’s Hospital prior to her promotion to CNO. Prior to her tenure at Wake Forest Baptist, she was the executive director of the Tulane Xavier National Women’s Center at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Ms. Sintich holds undergraduate nursing degrees from Indiana University and the University of South Alabama. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. She is a certified advanced nurse executive through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as well as a certified women’s health nurse practitioner through the National Certification Corporation.
She is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the North Carolina Organization of Nurse Leaders and the North Carolina Nurses Association. She serves on the Board of Directors of Cancer Services, Inc., currently as their treasurer.
