Renal Services

Hemodialysis is located on the eighth floor of the North Tower at WFBMC, adjacent to the Renal Care floor.  This area offers advanced technology and dedicated acute dialysis nurses 24-7.

• We use Cobe Centrysystem-3 machines
• We use Cobe Prisma for CVVHDF in our ICUs
• We use the Baxter PAC-Xtra for automated peritoneal dialysis
• We also offer manual peritoneal dialysis
• We monitor ultrafiltration with the Critline-3 system manufactured by In-line Diagnostics
• We have dedicated acute dialysis RNs around the clock
• We have 9-beds and 4-chairs each with cardiac/blood presure monitors and televisions   

 The Renal Care Unit, also located on the eighth floor and offers: 

• 19 private rooms
• 6 telemetry beds
• experienced renal nurses 1:6 or 7 nurse:patient ratio
• 24 hour renal consultation service
• close proximity to hemodialysis unit
