Fellowships
The Wake Forest School of Medicine Department of Neurology offers outstanding fellowship programs in a variety of subspecialty areas, including:
These fellowships are designed to prepare neurologists for a career in either private practice or academic medicine. Most of the programs will qualify participants to take a national certifying subspecialty examination, and all programs feature faculty who are recognized leaders in their subspecialties.
The relatively small size of the training programs allows for daily contact between faculty and fellows. Fellows also interact closely with neurology residents and medical students.
Fellowship programs have a clinical emphasis, but research is strongly encouraged. In addition to participation in ongoing research projects, fellows are encouraged to design clinical projects of their own.
