Neuro-Radiology Equipment

At Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, clinical equipment for neuro-radiology is state of the art. Such equipment includes 7 helical CT scanners, 6 of which are GE LightSpeed with 3-D rendering and computed tomography (CT) angiographic capabilities. The Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) facility houses 5 GE MRI scanners.

Advanced techniques are available, including:

• Magnetic resonance angiography (MRA)
• Diffusion imaging
• FAIR quantitative cerebral blood flow
• Functional MRI (fMRI) (BOLD activation studies)
• Multivoxel/multinuclear spectroscopy
