Spine Fracture Surgery

Spine fracture surgery repairs broken bones, or vertebrae, in the spine that may be caused by osteoporosis, trauma to the back or neck, or a tumor that starts in the spine or spreads to the area.

Surgery may be recommended if the pain is severe or disabling, has lasted for more than two months, and has not improved with other treatments.

Depending on the type of spine surgery, you will be placed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia, and you may need to wear a back brace for several weeks.
