Pulmonoligist Honored by American Thoracic Society

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Jill A. Ohar, M.D., professor of pulmonary, critical care, allergy and immunologic diseases at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center will be honored by the American Thoracic Society (ATS) with a profile in “Who’s Who in ATS.”

Ohar, director of clinical operations at the department of pulmonary, critical care, allergy and immunologic diseases, received her medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She completed her residency and a fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia.

She treats patients for general pulmonary disease and specializes in treatment and research of lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and occupational lung disease. Ohar is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine.

The American Thoracic Society, founded in 1905, is an independently incorporated, international, educational and scientific society which focuses on respiratory and critical care medicine.
