BestHealth® Day at Barnes & Noble

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – A variety of seminars and demonstrations emphasizing a healthy lifestyle will be offered at BestHealth Day at Barnes & Noble. The event is Saturday, July 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Barnes & Noble Booksellers on Hanes Mall Boulevard.

BestHealth members will receive a 20 percent discount on qualifying purchases. BestHealth memberships will be offered at the event.

The scheduled events include:

11 a.m. - Story Time for Children
Join us for story time with fun activities. Perfect for children eight and under.

Noon – Barnes & Noble Café Tasting & Demonstration
Sample healthy and nutritious beverages.

1 p.m. – 10 Weeks to a Healthier You
Join Dayle Fuentes, BestHealth registered dietician, to learn a healthier lifestyle.

2 p.m. – Taste of the YMCA
A YMCA certified group exercise instructor will demonstrate a variety of exercises offered at the YMCA including yoga, pilates and kickboxing.

3 p.m. – Healthy Meals in 30 Minutes
Chef Barbara Potter of Whole Foods Market will demonstrate how to prepare tasty, nutritious meals in 30 minutes.

5 p.m. – “Inflammation Nation”
Dr. Floyd “Ski” Chilton of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center’s Department of Physiology and Pharmacology explains the research that led to “Inflammation Nation,” his book about “our nation’s secret epidemic.”
