COMMUNITY FORUMS SET FOR PROPOSED DAVIE HOSPITAL
Forums to gather input from the community about plans for the proposed Davie County Hospital will be held October 11, 15 and 16.
The public in Davie County, the Clemmons-Lewisville area and southern Yadkin County is invited to participate in the forums. Refreshments will be served.
The forums will be held Thursday, October 11 at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 2570 Harper Road, Clemmons; Monday, October 15 at Hillsdale Baptist Church at 4815 US Hwy 158, and the following day at the Davie County Senior Center at 278 Meroney Street in Mocksville. All forums will begin at 7 p.m.
“Our goal is to engage the community in a conversation so that the new hospital will reflect the needs of the community,” said Donny Lambeth, interim president of North Carolina Baptist Hospital. “We are very interested in knowing the services and amenities that residents of the community believe are needed in the new hospital, so we invite everyone interested to attend.”
The forums will include an overview of the proposed hospital and the primary care center that Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center will build in Davie County. After the overview, the audience will break into small groups to discuss specific parts of the plan.
Representatives of HKS, Inc., architects for the hospital, will participate in some of the discussions along with the Medical Center’s planning and construction specialists.
The Hillsdale and Mocksville meetings will also include discussion of the Mocksville primary care center, which will include urgent care, occupational health and physician offices.
“We will listen to comments and respond to questions from everyone and consider them in our planning,” said Lambeth.9/24/2007http://www.wakehealth.edu/News-Releases/2007/COMMUNITY_FORUMS_SET_FOR_PROPOSED_DAVIE_HOSPITAL.htm
