Kidney Specialist Joins Faculty at Wake Forest Baptist

 WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Mariana Murea, M.D., joined the faculty at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center on July 1. She is a clinical instructor in internal medicine-nephrology.

Murea is an expert in treating chronic kidney disease, end stage renal disease and acute kidney injury.

 Murea earned her medical degree at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania. She completed her residency at Danbury Hospital and Yale-New Haven Hospital, and a fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center. She is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and board-eligible in nephrology and hypertension.
