The Cutting Edge of Epilepsy
Join Wake Forest Baptist neurosurgeon Dr. Dan Couture on Tuesday, May, 12 at 11 a.m. at BestHealth to learn about diagnostic tools and available treatments for epilepsy. Epilepsy is a fairly common seizure disorder that can develop in children or adults. Registration is required by calling 336-716-2255 or 1-800-446-2255.
Free Stroke Screenings
Free Stroke Screenings will be held at BestHealth on Wednesday, May 13 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday, May 29 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Participants can learn their risk for stroke with a simple finger stick and a brief risk assessment. Get blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose results in only five minutes.
To qualify for this screening, you must be between the ages of 40 and 65, have had no prior stroke-related disorder, and have not participated in a past stroke screening at BestHealth. Registration is required by calling 336-768-5375.
Introduction to Healing Touch
Join Deborah Larrimore, R.N., a licensed massage and bodywork therapist who is a certified healing touch practitioner and instructor, on Tuesday, May 26 at 6 p.m. at BestHealth for this introduction to the practice of Healing Touch.
Healing Touch is a gentle, energy-based therapy which brings balance and restoration to the body, and promotes the healing process. Registration is required by calling 336-716-2255 or 1-800-446-2255.
