Wake Forest Baptist Hypertension Specialist Delivers Lecture in Japan
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Carlos M. Ferrario, M.D., a hypertension specialist at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, lectured on new endocrine mechanisms and the renin-angiotensin system at the International Congress of Endocrinology in Kyoto, Japan on March 28 and 29. Following the lecture, Ferrario attended a ceremony with the Emperor and Empress of Japan.
Ferrario is the Dewitt Cordell Professor of Surgical Sciences and a professor of physiology and pharmacology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, where he also established the Hypertension and Vascular Research Center.
