Wake Forest Baptist Offers Free Physicals for High School Athletes

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – May 18, 2011 – Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center’s Sports Medicine team will offer free sports pre-participation physicals for local high school athletes on Saturday, May 21, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at CompRehab Plaza.

These physicals are a component of the Wake Forest Baptist Sports Medicine’s Most Valuable Partnership Program, and the expansion of Sports Medicine and Athletic Training Services in local high schools throughout Forsyth, Davie, and North Davidson counties.

The physicals will include check-in, height, weight, blood pressure, body mass index, vision screens, orthopaedic and cardiovascular screening, and educational information.

Wake Forest Baptist is holding this event in collaboration with Forsyth Medical Center, which will also have its staff/volunteers onsite to facilitate physicals.
