Understanding Dysphagia

Join Wake Forest Baptist Otolaryngologist Catherine Lintzenich, M.D., as she explains the causes and prevention of dysphagia, or difficulty in swallowing.

CANCELLED: Concussion in Youth Sports
2 p.m.
Wake Forest Baptist Neurosurgeon Daniel Couture, M.D., discusses the mechanisms, symptoms and management of concussion in youth sports, as well as the guidelines for returning to play.

National Walking Day
Noon
On April 4 everyone is encouraged to walk for at least 30 minutes. Join BestHealth on a fun, one-mile walk in Hanes Mall to celebrate the American Heart Association’s National Walking Day. Stroke kills twice as many women yearly as breast cancer. Women may have unique stroke symptoms that are different from men’s. Learn from Wake Forest Baptist Neurologist Cheryl Bushnell, M.D., the signs, symptoms and outcomes of stroke in women and the importance of acting “F.A.S.T.”

Do you have a family history of heart disease? Does your heart skip a beat? If so, come to BestHealth to have your heart rhythm checked with a 12-lead EKG and have a Forsyth County EMS paramedic review your results with you. Open to those who have not participated in a BestHealth EKG screening within the last three months. Space is limited. An appointment is required.

Blood Drive
10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Blood donation takes less than 10 minutes and just one pint can save three lives. Bring a photo ID and the names of all medications you are taking. Eat iron rich foods and hydrate one week prior. An appointment is required.
