Hearing Screening
4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Held at CompRehab Plaza, 131 Miller St., Winston-Salem.
This is a free, basic hearing test for individuals who have not been diagnosed with hearing loss and are not currently using a hearing aid. Sponsored by Wake Forest Baptist Health Hearing and Speech. Space is limited. Appointment required; call 336-716-WAKE (9253).

Breast Cancer: Not Diagnosed, but Worried

Held at Robinhood Road Family YMCA, Conference Room 1, 3474 Robinhood Road, Winston-Salem.

Held at Wake Forest Baptist Health Medical Plaza – Country Club, Diabetes Classroom, 4610 Country Club Road, Winston-Salem.
Join Wake Forest Baptist Health surgeons “Fuzz” Fernandez, M.D. and Stephen McNatt, M.D., to learn about the process for weight-loss surgery, including evaluation, risks and benefits, nutritional needs, exercise commitment and follow-up. Pre-registration required; call 336-716-WAKE (9253).

Free Health Screenings
9 a.m. to Noon
Held at Wake Forest Baptist Health – Lexington Medical Center’s Outpatient Center, Emergency Drive, Lexington.
Lexington Medical Center is pleased to offer two heart-related screenings free of charge. An abdominal aortic aneurysm screening will be performed by Wake Forest Baptist Health vascular surgeon George Plonk, M.D. and a cardiac risk assessment will be provided by Lexington Medical Center cardiologist Katie Twomley, M.D. and Davidson County EMS. Talk with the mammography coordinator from Lexington Medical Center to learn more about screening and learn the proper way to do a self-exam. Event and educational materials are free of charge.
