Wake Forest Baptist Acts as Official Medical Provider at the Winston-Salem Open

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – August 17, 2012 –Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center will play several major roles as the official medical provider of the Winston-Salem Open throughout the event scheduled for Aug. 18 to Aug. 25.

Wake Forest Baptist medical experts are prepared to assist both athletes and attendees with any medical attention needed during the event.

Sports medicine expert Daryl Rosenbaum, M.D., family and community medicine, serves as this year’s tournament medical director, leading our medical experts and advising athletes during the competition.

While providing support for the event, Wake Forest Baptist will offer ticket holders the ability to have a shoe fitting with a physical therapist, learn hands-only CPR from a cardiac outreach coordinator and ask sports medicine physicians questions about sports injuries, risk of injury and tips to improve your health.
