Wake Forest Baptist Holds Free Document Shredding Event April 9
N.C. – April 1, 2016 – Wake
Forest Baptist Medical Center will host a document shredding event for the public on Saturday, April
9, from 9 a.m. until noon, in the parking lot of the Administrative Services
building at 2200 Cloverdale Avenue.
The document shredding company, Shred-it, will provide
the free service. Visitors may watch as their documents are securely shredded
and destroyed on-site before being recycled.
While there is no charge for this
service, donations will be accepted, with all proceeds benefiting the American
Heart Association’s Winston-Salem Heart & Stroke Walk and the ALS Association’s Walk to Defeat ALS.
The Walk to Defeat ALS will be held on
Saturday, May 7, at Bridger Field House at BB&T Stadium. Wake Forest
Baptist is home to one of five ALS Centers in the state, with this walk being a
crucial part of the fight against ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
The 2016 Winston-Salem Heart &
Stroke Walk will be held on Saturday, October 29, at Bailey Park, in the Wake
Forest Innovation Quarter. Each year, more than one million people participate
in Heart & Stroke walks across the country to fund research that saves
lives from heart disease and stroke, two of the nation’s biggest killers.
The Administrative Services building, where the event will be held, is a four-story brick building located at the corner of
Cloverdale Avenue and Miller Street, next to Wendy’s and across from Cagney’s
Kitchen. The entrance to the parking lot is off of Miller Street.4/1/2016http://www.wakehealth.edu/News-Releases/2016/Wake_Forest_Baptist_Holds_Free_Document_Shredding_Event_April_9.htm
