U.S. News & World
Report ranked Wake Forest Baptist in the top 50 in the nation in seven
specialties for 2015-16, including: cancer, nephrology, urology, ear, nose and
throat, gastroenterology, pulmonology and neurology and neurosurgery.
Wake Forest Baptist, the

Award by the Interagency Registry for Mechanically Assisted Circulatory
award recognizes the program’s timely compliance and accurate submission to the

Wake Forest Baptist Urologist Named to Association
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – May 19, 2016 – Gopal
Badlani, M.D., professor of urology at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center,
has been named secretary and treasurer of the American Association of
Genitourinary Surgeons (AAGUS).
AAGUS is an international association of academic
urologists dedicated to the study of diseases of the genitourinary system (the
urinary tract and genital organs). Active membership is restricted to 75
surgeons from the United States and Canada who have distinguished themselves in

N.C. – May 19, 2016 – Betty
Crandall, M.S.N, administrative director of transplant services at Wake Forest Baptist
Medical Center, has been awarded the United Network for
Organ Sharing (UNOS) – Deedle Heckenkemper Leader in Transplant Administration
received the award for her contributions and positive impact on organ
UNOS manages the nation’s organ transplant system under
contract with the federal government.
