Wake Forest Baptist Holds Free Document Shredding Event April 1
Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center
will host a document shredding event for the public on Saturday, April 1, from
9 a.m. until noon, in the parking lot of the Administration Services building
at 2200 Cloverdale Avenue.
document shredding company, Shred-it, will provide the free service. Visitors
may watch as their documents are securely shredded and destroyed on-site before
being recycled. Documents should not contain other items, such as cell phones,
extension cords or batteries.
there is no charge for this service, donations will be accepted, with all
proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association’s Winston-Salem
Heart & Stroke Walk and The ALS Association’s Walk
to Defeat ALS.
Walk to Defeat ALS will be held on Saturday, May 13, at Bridger Field House at
BB&T Stadium. Wake Forest Baptist is home to one of five ALS Centers in the
state, with this walk being a crucial part of the fight against ALS, also known
as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Winston-Salem Heart & Stroke Walk will be held on Saturday, October 28, at
Bailey Park, in the Wake Forest Innovation Quarter. Each year, more than one
million people participate in Heart & Stroke walks across the country to
fund research that saves lives from heart disease and stroke, two of the
nation’s biggest killers.
Administration Services building, where the event will be held, is a four-story
brick building located at the corner of Cloverdale Avenue and Miller Street,
next to Wendy’s and across from Cagney’s Kitchen. The entrance to the parking
