Chair and Professor of Radiation Oncology
Blackstock is a national and international expert in the radiotherapeutic management of gastrointestinal cancers. He has been principal investigator or co-PI of numerous clinical trials in lung cancer and malignancies of the gastrointestinal tract. He has published more than 100 journal articles and book chapters over the last 15 years. He serves on the editorial boards for numerous prestigious journals and is an adhoc reviewer for more than a dozen cancer-related journals. Blackstock has served as a full member of the NIH-clinical oncology (CONC) study, and the ASCO grants committee and is a current member of the NIH subcommittee H. Blackstock serves as vice-chair of the Radiation Oncology committee for the Cancer and Leukemia Group B (CALGB) and remains very active serving on the NCI-designated Pancreatic Task Force. He is also director of the Comprehensive Cancer Center of Wake Forest's Clinical Research Program and is an elected Trustee for the Board of Trustees of the North Carolina Baptist Hospital.
