Thomas D. DuBose Jr., MD
Professor of Internal Medicine (Nephrology)
Nationally recognized for his expertise in kidney disease, DuBose is the Tinsley R. Harrison Professor and Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine at Wake Forest Baptist. He was elected to the Council of the American Society of Nephrology and served as president from 2005 to 2006. He continued to serve the American Society of Nephrology in a leadership capacity as chair of the Chronic Kidney Disease Advisory group and as a member of the ASN Board of Advisors from 2007 to 2011. DuBose has served on the editorial boards of numerous professional journals and has published papers on his own research, which includes work in potassium homeostasis and renal tubular acidosis.
