Pearce's primary research focus is centered upon his clinical interests in skin cancer and Moh's micrographic surgery. His research efforts are largely related to health care economics and the delivery of care. He often presents lectures on the latest on diagnosis and management of skin cancer, including melanoma. He earned his medical degree from Wake Forest School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine internship, dermatology residency and Moh's surgical fellowship at Wake Forest Baptist.
