Nursing Research Council
The Nursing Research Council promotes creative, innovative thinking leading to new nursing research ideas and projects that result in positive patient outcomes.
Nursing Research Council activities include:
- Increasing the educational component of nursing research and strengthening the use of the research process
- Providing consistency throughout the organization for nursing research including:
- Advancing use of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP)
- Supporting link between EBP and research
- Facilitating support for IRB process
- Encouraging professionalism
- Promoting recruitment and retention
- Developing a forum for creative, innovative thinking
- Generating new nursing research ideas and projects
- Mentoring nurses to understand, evaluate and conduct nursing research
- Increasing collaboration among nurses throughout the organization and nationally on nursing research
- Increasing regional and national visibility of nursing research at WFUBMC
