Favorite quote:
I think all those artists are artists who are appreciated because you believe their words and you appreciate their honesty in their music. If you don't appreciate the honesty in the music, the beat can be fly as hell but you'll never give an emcee props.

the boundary
stifling,
our yearnings bounce from it,
no light through this, last of the windows
will break.
and the quiet.
defiant.
and the darkness.
unyielding.
and the brazenly nothing-ness, madness incites.

look past your startled pride.
see that NOTHING defies.
seeing nothing, we fear.
see nothing, see ourselves.
see then foes, to be broken and conquered
in turn
and with roaring crusade
claim its secrets our own.
COMRADES, put out the eyes of the blind! comes the call,
they who pondered the darkness we fear to give name!
and when all logic fails us
we flock to the pulpit
gnashing teeth at the blackness
scorning God, scorning all.

no. it does not defy,

and, in truth,

we see nothing.
an unknowable mystery.
just nothing. Amen.

and.
it
captivates, fascinates.
wondrous
and still,
terrible.
lifetimes are spent sounding eternity's depth.
and lo, at the edge,
the abyss now stares back
our sublime, sinful tragedy
painfully bare

…what we're left with are questions
and the conscious can answer.
so much we could turn back to,
yet my gaze
remains locked.

Inescapable nothing.
I gaze back at your nothing.
take the hands of the next generation.
and leap.
