Prichard Essay Contest

Dr. Robert PrichardDr. Robert Prichard was the chairman of the Department of Pathology for many years. He was a well-rounded physician who had a particular interest in the history of medicine, and in an earlier rendition of the WFSM curriculum he gave a popular series of lectures to students on history of medicine topics.

After his death, his family created the Prichard History of Medicine Award, to be given to the student (or students) who had demonstrated notable interest in the history of medicine, as judged by writing a paper on a subject related to medicine's history. More information on this essay contest will be provided in the near future.
