Labs and X-Rays
Appointments are scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment time to check in with the receptionist. For routine office visits, please try to make your appointments in advance so that you may see your assigned physician. Since many of our physicians have other hospital responsibilities and obligations, their office hours may be limited. Please notify us as soon as possible when you must cancel an appointment.
Please contact your pharmacy for medication refills. Your pharmacist will call us.
Prescriptions cannot be filled unless your medical care is current. Our office policy does not allow us to prescribe narcotics or other controlled drugs over the phone. Please try to call your pharmacist for refills before you run out of the medication. The telephone number to our Nurse Triage Line is (336) 716-8704.
Lab and X-Rays
Most basic blood work, urine test and cultures are done in our hospital laboratory. We will inform you about when to expect the test results. If you have not been contacted with the results by that time, you may call the office. You will be contacted immediately if important abnormalities are found.
X-rays for our office are performed at within the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center facility.
We admit our patients to North Carolina Baptist Hospital. Your care will be provided by a team of our physicians who remain in contact with your personal physician. We will attempt to keep you and your family advised daily regarding the plan for diagnosis and treatment of your illness.
Whenever possible, we ask that you contact our practice before 4 p.m. This especially applies to prescription refills.
After 5 p.m. the physician on call may advise you to call the office the next day if the problem can wait. If you feel that you need to speak with a physician after hours, please call (336) 716-2011 and ask for the Otolaryngology (ENT) Resident on call. The hospital operator will contact the physician, who will return your call as soon as possible. Please have a list of your medications and other information about your illness to tell the physician.
When an emergency occurs, it may be necessary for you to rush immediately to a hospital emergency room.
If possible, we ask that you first contact our office or the physician on call for help in deciding whether an emergency room visit is the best choice for your care.
Emergency rooms are often crowded, and visits can be expensive. Your physician may be able to suggest another way of handling your emergency.
Our office fees are similar to those of other primary care physicians in the community. A fee schedule is available upon request.
We accept most third party-payer insurance plans. If you have any difficulties with your bill, please contact one of our financial counselors at (336) 716-8368. If you would like to speak to someone regarding your account, please contact the Business Office at (877) 938-7497
It is our goal to provide the best medical care possible for you. Please call one of our contact numbers if you need more information or have any questions about the services we offer.
