Baptist Medical Center recognizes that effective communication and
understanding are the foundation of patient safety and quality care, and
respects patients' right to receive information in a manner that they can
understand. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504
of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, CLAS
Standards, Joint Commission standards, and other federal regulations, foreign

week, free of charge to our patients and their families.

Live Spanish and
ASL interpreters are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help patients
communicate effectively with Medical Center staff. To request a Spanish

TELEPHONIC INTERPRETER SERVICES
interpreter services for over 200 different languages are available on demand,
24 hours a day, 7 days a week through CyraCom.
VIDEO REMOTE INTERPRETATION (VRI) SERVICES
Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center with on demand VRI services for Spanish and
American Sign Language 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
