Nicotinic Ligands for Smoking Cessation
This program attempts to develop new principles and therapeutics for smoking cessation. The goals of the project are to investigate the role of alpha-6 neuronal nicotinic acetylcholine receptor in smoking cessation. This scientific approach will enable scientists to optimize and develop lead compounds for smoking cessation based on the selective targeting of the alpha-6 receptors.
Role: Consultant
