Summary of Research
Collaborative applied research
focused on 1) neuroinflammation initiated by triggers anticipated to cause
inflammation, like traumatic brain injury (from high-impact sports, theater of
war, etc), radiation (whole brain irradiation), and major wounds (from war or
other conflict) as well as background processes like aging; and 2) substance
abuse, particularly nicotine addiction and its co-morbidities (alcohol abuse,
depression, anxiety, other addictions, etc).
